Access To Support and Skills
InfoLab21: A Supportive Environment
The early years for any business are difficult and the problems they face can be numerous and varied, which is why a supportive environment can significantly increase a company's chances of survival.
Each InfoLab21 resident company is supported by one of our Business Development Team Nick King and Colin McLaughlin, who along are on hand to provide specialist support including:
- Acting as a link between businesses and InfoLab21 academics
- Facilitating joint research projects and ventures by identifying suitable partnerships, enabling businesses and academics to work side by side to develop new products and processes
- Identifying and supporting new opportunities for academic/business engagement and technology transfer
and also source support from a wide range of sources depending on the needs of each resident, such as:
- The InfoLab21 Graduate Academy
- The Lancaster Environment Centre one of the largest centres for environmental research in Europe
- Lancaster University Management School, a world-ranked international management school, consistently among the UK's top four.
- Other University Business Support Projects
- InfoLab21’s network of partner agencies and government organisations
